Duties
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately to process transactions efficiently and handle cash, credit, and mobile payments with precision.
- Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and resolving concerns promptly.
- Assist customers with product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging additional sales through upselling techniques.
- Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented and accessible.
- Manage inventory levels by performing stock checks and assisting with inventory counts to support store organization.
- Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely, ensuring clear and professional communication.
- Support the store’s sales goals by promoting products, offering recommendations, and engaging in retail math to maximize revenue opportunities.
Experience
- Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures is highly advantageous.
- Supervising experience is a plus, especially if it involved overseeing customer service or sales teams.
- Bilingual skills are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs effectively.
- Strong communication skills coupled with excellent phone etiquette are essential for success in this role.
