We’re looking for individuals who believe that student potential is unlocked through rigorous academics, purposeful mentoring, and a culture of high expectations. If you're the kind of leader who thrives on seeing measurable student growth, values culturally responsive teaching, and understands the power of relationships, this is the place for you.

“Simply put”,- Success in this role will be measured by the academic growth and holistic development of our students—driven by your ability to lead with heart, purpose, and precision.

To that end, EPATT is hiring two part-time teachers to lead our after-school academic programs for our Elementary and Middle School students. This is an exciting opportunity for passionate, creative, and community-rooted educators to make a tangible impact in the lives of youth. EPATT’s school-year program integrates reading, math, and engaging enrichment experiences with a focus on building strong parent relationships.

In addition to facilitating small group instruction, EPATT offers individualized, one-on-one tutoring—either virtually or in person—for all students in our programs. Teachers will collaborate with tutors and will be tasked with leading engaging group activities once tutoring sessions conclude. They will also be tasked with classroom management, in-depth data analysis to track student progress, and proactive parent engagement.

Teachers should bring their subject areas to life with enthusiasm and creativity—using culturally relevant, student-centered approaches to inspire curiosity, build confidence, and foster a genuine love of learning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver engaging daily lessons in reading, math, or enrichment, tailored to the age group.
  • Create a classroom culture that is inclusive, joyful, and rooted in high expectations.
  • Support individual student growth through small group or one-on-one instruction.
  • Welcome all volunteers into the classroom with warmth and clarity; provide clear instructions and set expectations to ensure alignment with classroom goals.
  • Be team-oriented and receptive to collaborative classroom procedures; foster an inviting and respectful atmosphere for all staff, tutors, and students.
  • Explain the EPATT program with enthusiasm and confidence, ensuring all stakeholders feel energized and informed.
  • Maintain accurate attendance, assessment, and student progress records.
  • Be highly organized and plan ahead to ensure smooth classroom operations and lesson delivery.
  • Communicate regularly and respectfully with parents, caregivers, and EPATT staff.
  • Collaborate with tutors, program coordinators, and support staff to strengthen instruction.
  • Attend occasional staff training, curriculum meetings, or community events as needed.

  • Strong classroom management skills rooted in empathy, structure, and restorative practices
  • Ability to differentiate and adapt instruction to meet diverse learning styles and academic levels
