Inspection Coordinator

East Missouri Action Agency has an opening for an Inspection Coordinator. This position is responsible for managing, updating and maintaining the inspection database in the housing department's computer software in accordance with HUD's inspection protocol. It also provides support to the Housing Specialist who performs inspections, is responsible for inspecting the housing units, completes all required paperwork, schedules inspections, monitors the status of incomplete inspections, reviews electronic and paper inspections for accuracy and completeness, communicates with landlords, and prepares lease documents, contracts, etc.

Applicants must be 18 or older and must possess a high school diploma or GED. A minimum of 3 years' experience in housing related rental assistance programs and property inspections is preferred. Other training, experience and skills required: the ability to multitask and identify problems putting forward solutions that are creative, innovative and flexible; strong written and oral communication skills; strong computer literacy skills; strong organizational skills; ability to use good judgement, maintain confidentiality and must be detail oriented. Candidate must possess a Missouri's Driver's License and have reliable transportation and insurance.
