Full-Time PSR - Translator (Spanish) | Join Our Medical Team!
East Liberty Family Health Care Center is seeking a full-time PSR - Translator to join our growing administrative team! This role will provide Spanish translation and interpretation services for on-site medical care, assisting both the Front Office and Medical staff with our Spanish-speaking patients. Additionally, this position will support vaccination and outreach programs through translation and interpretation services.

Requirements
High School diploma required; Associate degree or higher preferred.
Fluency in spoken and written Spanish and English is required.
One Year Of Experience In a Healthcare Environment Preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and email programs; Excel familiarity for record-keeping is a plus.
Competency with medical terminology and concepts; healthcare experience preferred.
Ability to learn and use multi-line telephone and messaging systems.
Must be able to collaborate effectively in a diverse, fast-paced healthcare setting.
Knowledge of Portuguese is a plus!
Job Responsibilities
Provide telephone support and community outreach to patients.
Collaborate with Latino community organizations to share information on public health programs for low-income families.
Offer Spanish interpretation for patient appointments as needed.
Support the Front Office, Medical Records, Billing, and other staff with Spanish-speaking patients.
Assist in scheduling Spanish-speaking patients for medical appointments.
Coordinate follow-up appointments in the community (e.g., ultrasound, WIC, specialists).
Help nurses manage the Spanish-language telephone line, including recording messages, translating voicemails, and assisting with call-backs.
Develop Spanish-language education and outreach materials for patients.
Translate written communication related to medical issues.
Communicate patient concerns to licensed medical staff for triage.
