Toolmaker - Injection Molding
Responsibilities:
- Full understanding of all aspects of injection molding tooling; hot runner systems, cooling systems, ejection, etc.
- Experience in troubleshooting injection molding tooling.
- Maintenance and repair of tooling including fabricating details and spotting tool.
- Use of traditional metal fabrication equipment including lathes, mills, grinders, etc.
- Use of CNC equipment for component fabrication.
- Use of precision measurement devices
- Understand proper tolerance of components for injection molding, punching plastic parts, etc.
- Basic lifting & rigging principles and practices.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Technical degree in related field or equivalent experience.
- 1-3 years of demonstrated tool building, maintenance, and repair experience.
- Able to read machine prints and determine proper equipment required to fabricate the desired item.
- Ability to take initiative, manage multiple tasks, and welcoming to continuous improvement and change.
- Strong mechanical mindset and understanding of industrial systems, electrical and hydraulic/pneumatic troubleshooting,
- Experience with injection molding and/or thermoforming plastics preferred.
- Experience working in a scheduled maintenance environment.
- Ability to read, write, email, and have basic computer skills.
- Must be able to pass a background check, physical and drug screen.
- Able to use hand tools, lift 50lbs, bend, reach, squat, sit, stand, and utilize ladders.
