Yard Worker (East Islip/Lindenhurst)

Job Responsibilities
- Load and unload lumber products onto trucks
- Build lumber orders for delivery
- Check in and receive purchased materials, including verifying quantities and checking for defects
- Put away all incoming stock items in assigned locations
- Pick sales orders in a timely and accurate manner
- Report discrepancies in the inventories to the Supervisors
- Maintain warehouse & yard cleanliness & adhere to safety procedures
- Pick and pull any requested transfers, display items and customer samples as requested
- Communicate and coordinate with other departments to answer any stock checks or questions
Profile:
- Hard worker, great attitude, able to follow directions, team player, neat and organized, on time and ready to work when scheduled (flexibility for some Saturdays)
Core Competencies:
- Employee must be able to lift up to and including 100lbs
- Must have forklift experience
- Lumber experience is a plus, but not required
- Be comfortable with working outdoors in the various elements
