Position
Overview
The
Radiologic Technologist will perform diagnostic imaging procedures with a
primary emphasis on CT and X-ray services. This position includes
responsibility for assisting with advanced cardiac imaging studies, including
calcium scoring and coronary CT examinations, while maintaining strict imaging
protocols, patient safety standards, and physician support throughout the
imaging process.
Key
Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality CT Scan and
X-ray procedures in accordance with physician orders, departmental
protocols, and patient safety standards.
- Prepare patients for imaging
procedures by explaining the process clearly, confirming clinical history,
and ensuring comfort throughout the exam.
- Operate CT and radiographic
equipment with accuracy, efficiency, and excellent attention to detail.
- Support advanced cardiac CT
imaging, including coronary calcium scoring and coronary CT studies, with
careful adherence to protocol and image quality expectations.
- Review images for diagnostic
quality and communicate promptly with radiologists and providers regarding
study completion or concerns.
- Maintain accurate patient
documentation, imaging records, and procedural information in the
appropriate systems.
- Observe radiation safety
practices and infection prevention standards at all times.
- Assist in maintaining imaging
equipment, supply readiness, and an organized clinical environment.

Requirements
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited
Radiologic Technology program.
- Current certification in
radiologic technology as required for practice, with state licensure
requirements applicable in Texas.
- CT experience required; advanced
experience in cardiac CT, coronary calcium scoring, or coronary CT studies
strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of
cross-sectional anatomy, radiographic positioning, and imaging protocols.
- Ability to work effectively with
radiologists, physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary clinical teams.
- Excellent communication,
professionalism, and patient care skills.
- Strong organizational skills
with the ability to manage workflow in a high-performance imaging setting.

Background
- Experience performing coronary
artery calcium scoring exams.
