Licensed Veterinary Technician (RVT)

We are a well-established, three doctors, independently owned small animal practice in Hilliard with a strong emphasis on positive team culture and professional support. Our doctors value and utilize RVT skills to their fullest potential, and our team works collaboratively to support one another during even the busiest days.
EHVS provides comprehensive medical care with a focus on long-term client relationships. We are a hybrid practice offering general outpatient care, surgery, and dentistry for dogs, cats, and exotics, as well as a regional dental referral service. Dr. Tom Klein performs advanced dental procedures, and our RVTs play an integral role in managing complex anesthesia cases.
What You'll Do
As a Licensed RVT at EHVS, you will fully utilize your technical skills, including:
-Venipuncture and cystocentesis
-IV catheter placement
-Anesthetic induction, monitoring, and recovery (including advanced cases)
-Surgical preparation and assistance
-Complete 12-step dental prophylaxis, including full-mouth digital radiographs
-Assisting with advanced dental procedures (endodontics, periodontal therapy, surgical extractions, oral mass removals)
-Full-body digital radiography
-Fear Free patient handling and compassionate hospitalization care
-Operating in-house Heska laboratory equipment and preparing reference lab samples
-Prescription preparation as directed by veterinarians
-Assisting doctors with exams, procedures, and medical record documentation
-Conducting technician appointments (lab draws, vaccine boosters, anal gland expression, SQ fluids, injections including allergy therapy, and nail trims)
Schedule
Full-time hours range from mid-30s to 40 hours per week.
Schedule includes:
-One evening per week (Monday or Thursday until 8:00 PM)
-One Saturday per month (7:45 AM–12:00 PM)
Part-time applicants are welcome, and we are flexible in creating a mutually beneficial schedule.

-$24–$32 per hour, commensurate with experience
