East Hill Medical Center is seeking a medical assistant for our growing organization. This candidate will be based in our Family and Pediatric medical office. Our newly renovated office offers a clean and welcoming environment, with updated equipment, and an ideal workspace. The ideal candidate will be compassionate and strive to provide an exceptional experience for each patient, every time.
Practice Hours are Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
No weekends! Flexible shifts available.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for supporting and monitoring patient flow in the front and back offices
- Responsible for performing various aspects of patient visit
- Reviews health record with the patient
- Obtains vital signs and patient data
- Initiates the follow-up of specialty care referrals and services per policy
- Assists patients with the completion of medical forms
- Responsible for performing important medical tests and procedures on patients, as directed by practitioner within the MA scope.
- Performs laboratory specimen collection, preparation and labeling
- Performs ECG’s
- Responsible for obtaining medical record releases, and ensuring the processing of medical record requests
- Assists with scanning relevant documents into the electronic health record system
- Performs documentation in the patient’s electronic health record
- Responsible for preparing and stocking exam rooms
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a Medical Assistant certificate or license program, preferred
- 1-2 years experience working as a Medical Assistant
- 1 year of Medent experience, preferred
- Experience working in an office setting with pediatric and adult patients, preferred
- Current BLS certificate
- Current Infection Control certificate
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
