As a Groomer, you’ll play a vital part in ensuring pets look and feel their best, while fostering strong relationships with clients.
Responsibilities
- Perform grooming services including bathing, trimming, and nail clipping tailored to each pet’s breed and individual needs
- Handle animals safely and gently, utilizing proper restraint techniques to ensure comfort and security during grooming procedures
- Assess each pet’s health status, noting any skin issues or abnormalities, and communicate concerns to pet owners or veterinary staff as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized grooming station, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized and well-maintained
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining grooming procedures, answering questions, and building trust with pet owners
Requirements
- Proven experience in pet grooming
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary to lift pets
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners
