Junior Credit Analyst
Location: In-person

About the Role
We are a private credit firm specializing in secured, asset-backed financing across commercial trucks, equipment, construction machinery, real estate, and vessels. We are looking for an underwriting professional who can evaluate credit applications, assess collateral, review financials, and support the closing process for a fast-growing portfolio.
Key ResponsibilitiesCredit & Risk Analysis
- Evaluate credit applications and assess borrower creditworthiness for secured commercial loans
- Analyze financial statements, tax returns, and bank statements to determine repayment ability
- Identify risk factors, verify eligibility criteria, and recommend loan structures
- Conduct underwriting in line with internal credit policies and regulatory standards
Collateral & Valuation Review
- Assess collateral value across trucks, construction equipment, machinery, real estate, and vessels
- Review appraisals, depreciation schedules, and market comps to establish fair value and liquidation value
- Evaluate titles, liens, UCC filings, and encumbrances to ensure legal enforceability
- Contribute to internal loan-to-value benchmarks and asset-specific underwriting criteria
Documentation & Closing Support
- Coordinate with clients, lenders, attorneys, and internal teams to prepare closing packages
- Produce accurate term sheets, promissory notes, underwriting files, and loan documentation
- Ensure underwriting files meet audit, compliance, and company documentation standards
- Support end-to-end closing processes and transaction execution
Compliance & Portfolio Support
- Ensure underwriting practices meet compliance and documentation requirements
- Assist in monitoring existing loan performance and portfolio risk indicators
- Maintain accuracy across internal systems, records, and reporting workflows
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- 2 years of underwriting, credit analysis, or financial analysis experience (private credit or commercial lending a plus)
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, financial modeling basics, VLOOKUPs)
- Knowledge of loan documentation, collateral review, and underwriting requirements
- Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills
- Detail-oriented, accurate, and able to work under deadlines
