Job Overview
The East Hanover Child Care Center is a private, highly successful licensed child care center that offers an educational preschool and nurturing learning environment for children ages 6 weeks through 5 years. We are a looking for energetic individuals to assist our classroom teachers in various age groups, part-time and full-time.
The ideal candidate will have experience in early childhood education and a genuine interest in fostering the development and growth of young children.
We have a very low staff turnover, highly qualified individuals in our team, and some of our employees have been with us between 10 to 21 years! We try to pair individuals with their desired age groups and stick to our classroom assignments. Whether you prefer floating around or working in an specific classroom, we are flexible!
Job Summary
The Teaching Assistants are responsible for working collaboratively with the Lead Teachers to provide exceptional care to children ranging from Infants to Pre-K. They work collaboratively with the other teacher/s, family members and other staff to achieve positive outcomes for children of all abilities.
Qualifications
- Preferably candidates with or working toward a CDA or associate’s in early childhood education/child development or related degree.
- Preferably two years of prior professional teaching experience.
- We are open from 7 am till 6 pm. Full-time employees work a minimum of 35 hours a week.
- Pass physical examination, background check, and fingerprinting screen, and maintain required Physical/TB screen requirements.
