Duties
- Design and implement comprehensive pitching training programs tailored to athletes’ skill levels and developmental needs
- Teach proper pitching techniques, mechanics, and safety protocols to prevent injuries and improve performance
- Provide individualized feedback and coaching during practices and games to enhance player skills
- Monitor athlete progress through assessments, tracking improvements, and adjusting training plans accordingly
- Promote teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship among players of all ages and experience levels
- Maintain a safe training environment by enforcing safety guidelines and managing equipment use
- Collaborate with other coaching staff to organize drills, practice schedules, and game strategies
Requirements
- Proven experience in sports coaching, particularly baseball pitching or related skills
- Strong background in physical education, teaching, or athletic training with a focus on youth development
- Knowledge of biomechanics, pitching mechanics, and injury prevention techniques
- Excellent communication skills to motivate and instruct athletes effectively
- Ability to manage behavior and foster a positive learning environment for children and teens
- Experience working with students or young athletes in educational or sports settings
- Certifications in sports coaching or relevant disciplines such as martial arts (Karate, Judo), swimming or climbing are advantageous but not mandatory
- Lifeguard experience or health club/gym background is a plus for understanding safety protocols in active environments
