Description:This position is responsible for the general cleanliness of facility.
Job Summary:
- Cleans assigned areas of the facility including classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas
- Trash removal, dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitation duties performed regularly
- Assists with snow removal from walkways and areas not plowed, uses sand around walkways for safety
- Sets up for both internal and external groups using facilities
- Opens and closes building as necessary
- Performs general maintenance task related to the upkeep and operation of the facility
- When warranted, makes the recommendation to maintenance director for other maintenance issued outside of general knowledge
- Sees to general security of all building entrances and population inside
- Building checks in winter months outside of regular schedule
Available positions:
Full Time evening custodian:
- 40 Hours with overtime opportunities
- Monday-Wednesday:(3) 8 hour shifts between 4pm and 6 am (fit to your personal schedule)
- Thursday-Sunday:(16 hours) 4pm Thursday-6 am Monday (fit to yur peresonal schedule)
Part time custodian:
- Up to 29 hours
- Monday-Wednesday:(3) 8 hour shifts between 4pm and 6am(fit to your personal schedule)
- Thursday-Sunday:(16 hours) 4pm Thursday-6am Monday(fit to yur personal schedule)
Weekend custodian:
- Up to 40 hours
- Thursday-Sunday: (16 hours) 4pm Thursday-6am Monday (fit to your person schedule
Qualifications-Education:
High School Diploma – GED equivalent
Experience:
No experience required. Custodial or house keeping experiences preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Visual and auditory acuity
Hand and finger dexterity
Regular walking and standing on tile or cement floors
Regular bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, squatting, kneeling and stooping
Ability to climb, use ladders, and work overhead
Lifting and carrying of 5 – 50 lbs. frequently
Lifting and carrying of up to 50 lbs. for possibly 20 feet on occasion
Ability to work under fluorescent lights
