What are the responsibilities and job description for the Optometric Technician/Receptionist position at East Fishkill Eye Care?
Seeking 1-2 assistants for an optometrist's office.
Responsibilities include: checking in/checking out patients, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance eligibility, performing medical tests on patients, assist with optical/medical billing, working with contact lenses and helping maintain office.
Candidates must be a team player, reliable, hard working and tech savvy. Our friendly professional environment is ideal for someone looking to gain hands-on medical and optical experience, interested in becoming a certified optometric assistant certification, and looking for a supportive office culture.
We are considering both part time and full time applicants. Full time hours would mirror our office hours Monday-Friday and include 2 early days (Tuesday/Friday) and 1 later shift (Wednesdays). Part time would need to include Thursdays 8:30am-5pm and Fridays 7am-3pm.
Prior experience is not required but relative work experience or a healthcare degree is a plus.
Starting salary is commensurate on prior work experience and quality of professional references.
