Township Secretary
East Fallowfield Township (Chester County, PA) is seeking a highly organized, motivated, and customer-focused professional to serve as its next Township Secretary. This position serves as a key member of the Township's administrative team, providing executive administrative support to the Township Manager, Board of Supervisors, and Township operations. The Township Secretary plays a vital role in coordinating Board meetings, maintaining official Township records, supporting legislative and Right-to-Know administration, and ensuring the efficient day-to-day operation of Township government. The Township Secretary reports directly to the Township Manager.

Employment Status: Full-Time (40 hours/week)
A flexible part-time arrangement may be considered for an exceptionally qualified candidate.
Essential Responsibilities
- Provide executive administrative support to the Township Manager and Board of Supervisors.
- Prepare Board of Supervisors meeting agendas, minutes, ordinances, resolutions, and supporting materials.
- Maintain official Township records and ensure compliance with Pennsylvania record retention requirements.
- Assist with Right-to-Know administration and records management.
- Respond to resident inquiries and provide exceptional customer service.
- Assist with grant administration, special projects, and administrative operations.
- Provide administrative support for building permitting, zoning, and code administration as assigned.
- Attend occasional evening Board meetings and staff meetings.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Approximately three (3) years of progressively responsible administrative experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Municipal government experience is preferred but not required.
- Candidates with executive administrative, legal, governmental, or public sector experience are encouraged to apply.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and standard office software.
- Strong written, verbal, organizational, and customer service skills.
- Pennsylvania Notary Public certification is preferred or must be obtained after hire if requested.
