DSP - Day Habilitation

Location: Riverhead & Calverton, NY

Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday 8am-4pm

Salary: $20.00 Hr.

$1,000 sign-on bonus!!

What You'll Do:

• Support the people we support in gaining life skills, social connections, and confidence — both in the community and at the program site.
• Encourage independence and empower people to reach their personal goals
• Help with planning and participating in fun, person-centered activities
• Assist the people supported when needed. Including areas of self-care, independent living, and community integration.
• Transport individuals using agency vehicles
• Complete important documentation and work collaboratively with team members and families
• Obtain certifications like SCIP and AMAP
• Attend all required paid trainings to keep your skills sharp. Training include New Hire Orientation, Defensive Driving, First Aid, CPR, program specific trainings, and annual trainings.

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and at least one year of driving experience required.
