Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Field Service Technician to join our team and deliver exceptional on-site technical support across manufacturing facilities. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of industrial equipment and systems. Duties
- Perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of manufacturing equipment including hydraulics, electrical systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and industrial mechanics.
- Conduct routine inspections using precision measuring instruments, schematics, and analysis skills to identify issues before they escalate.
- Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to document work orders, maintenance history, and equipment status updates accurately.
- Operate various tools and machinery such as scissor lifts, welding equipment , ammeters, ohmmeters, and low voltage testers to facilitate repairs.
- Diagnose electrical problems involving high voltage and low voltage systems while adhering to safety protocols.
- Support technical sales efforts by providing expert advice on equipment performance and maintenance solutions to customers.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimize processes, improve system reliability, and implement preventative maintenance strategies.
Requirements
- Proven experience in industrial maintenance within manufacturing facilities or similar environments.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in welding (
welding preferred), hydraulics, HVAC/R systems, and industrial electrician work. - Familiarity with schematics, analysis tools, and precision measuring instruments such as ammeters and ohmmeters.
- Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and system diagrams confidently.
- Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and CMMS platforms for maintenance management.
- Knowledge of high voltage electrical systems and low voltage control circuits.
- Valid industrial mechanic or electrician certification; military background highly valued.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly in English across diverse teams and clients.
- Ability to operate a scissor lift safely and efficiently in various environments.
