What are the responsibilities and job description for the Social Media Coordinator position at East Coast Truck & Trailer Sales?
About Us
East Coast Truck & Trailer Sales (ECTTS) sells trucks, trailers, and parts to fleets, owner-operators, and repair shops around the world. We move real inventory from real lots — with our online parts store at parts.ectts.com — and we're known for getting customers the right part, in stock, shipped fast. We're growing our online presence and want someone to own how we show up across social media.
The Role
We're hiring our first dedicated Social Media Coordinator to own ECTTS's digital image day to day. You'll run our social channels, answer parts and truck questions from followers, and create a steady stream of content that shows off our inventory and expertise. This is a hands-on, do-it role — you'll be posting, filming quick clips on the lot, replying to comments, and reporting on what's working. You'll get direction and brand guidance from leadership, but the daily execution is yours.
What You'll Do
- Manage our social channels — plan, schedule, and publish posts across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
- Create content — shoot and edit photos and short videos of trucks, trailers, and parts on the lot; write captions in the ECTTS voice; design simple graphics.
- Answer questions — respond to comments and DMs about parts availability, pricing, fitment, and truck/trailer details; route detailed sales leads to the right salesperson quickly.
- Own the content calendar — keep a consistent posting cadence tied to new arrivals, sales, seasonal themes, and events.
- Support the parts store — drive traffic to parts.ectts.com and highlight featured products and promotions.
- Track performance — monitor reach, engagement, and follower growth; report simple monthly metrics and adjust based on what performs.
- Protect the brand — keep tone, colors, and logo consistent, and flag any customer-service issues that come in through social.
What We're Looking For
- This is a junior role — we care more about hustle, taste, and reliability than years on a resume.
- 1–3 years of hands-on social media experience (personal brand, internship, side projects, or a previous role all count).
- Comfortable shooting and editing short-form video on a phone — you know your way around Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.
- Strong writing: clear, punchy captions with correct spelling and grammar.
- Organized and dependable — you can keep a posting schedule without being chased.
- Responsive and customer-friendly in comments and Dms.
- Basic design skills (Canva, Adobe Express, or similar).
- Willing to be on-site and out on the lot to capture content.
Nice to Have
- Interest in or knowledge of trucks, trailers, diesel, or the trades.
- Experience with paid social or boosting posts.
- Familiarity with scheduling tools (Meta Business Suite, Agorapulse, Hootsuite) and basic analytics.
- Photo/video editing (Premiere, CapCut, Lightroom) beyond the basics.
