Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Shop Foreman to join our team at East Coast Truck & Trailer Sales. This role is ideal for a motivated leader who thrives in a fast-paced shop environment and is ready to help drive team performance and customer satisfaction. This role is essential in overseeing daily operations in our busy service department. Reporting to the Service Manager, the Shop Foreman oversees daily operations in our busy service department and ensures efficiency, quality, and safety across all repair & maintenance work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support technicians to maintain productivity & workflow.
- Coordinate with service writers and parts department to keep jobs moving on schedule.
- Perform regular quality control inspections on internal and external builds.
- Assist technicians with repair documentation and provide ongoing training.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant shop environment by ensuring OSHA regulations are being implemented.
- Monitor job times, assign upcoming work, and ensure readiness for each repair.
- Support warranty verification and estimate preparation.
- Oversee shop equipment upkeep and ensure proper usage.
Qualifications:
- Proven leadership in a service or repair shop environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on problem solving skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Commitment to safety and quality standards
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team.
Working Hours
- Monday- Friday, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm
- Occasional Saturdays, 7:00 am to 1:00 pm
- We work with and around heavy equipment, so we are a drug-free workplace (including THC). A pre-employment drug test is required.
