Independent Mortgage Field Inspection Contractor
We are seeking experienced Independent Mortgage Field Inspection Contractors for completion of Inspections in the following counties:
- Windham County VT
- Bennington County VT
- Lamoille County VT
- Orleans County VT
- Caledonia County VT
- Essex County VT
Field Inspection experience or other relevant experience is preferred. Currently there is no special licensing or certifications required for these types of inspections.
Independent Mortgage Field Inspectors complete inspections on behalf of Mortgage companies, for existing mortgages. The inspector’s primary focus is to locate, photograph, determine occupancy status and document the condition of each property. Inspectors complete Occupancy verification inspections, Vacant property Inspections as well as specialty inspections such as damage inspections and business verification inspections.
Examples of tasks required include determining whether the property is occupied of vacant, reporting the condition of the property, delivering door cards, determining utility status, and reporting observed damages.
Inspectors are paid a flat fee per completed inspection (no mileage or expenses are reimbursed). Earning potential is based on each Contractors availability, willingness to travel, and desired territory and volume.
Minimum Requirements:
- A Business entity such as LLC or Corporation*
- Candidate must be located within one of the above-referenced counties.
- Weekday, daytime availability on a year-round basis — Part-time availability is OK, but candidate must have weekday, daytime availability.

*This is an Independent Contractor (1099), Business-to-Business opportunity. We only contact with Business entities. Candidate must be an established business entity or an Independent contractor willing to establish a business entity for performance of Inspection services performed under a written contract.
