Control Wiring Technician

Responsible for wiring, assembling, and testing low-voltage switchboards and panelboards. This role requires attention to detail, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to produce high-quality work while supporting team objectives.


Key Responsibilities

·         Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and wiring lists.

·         Gather wires, components, and materials required for each job.

·         Cut, strip, label, terminate, and route wiring according to specifications.

·         Install wireways, fuse blocks, DIN rails, and other electrical components.

·         Bundle and secure wiring for a clean, organized installation.

·         Use hand tools, power tools, crimpers, and digital multimeters safely and effectively.

·         Perform point-to-point electrical testing and assist with functional testing and quality inspections.

·         Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.

·         Follow all safety procedures and identify potential hazards.

·         Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

·         High school diploma or equivalent.

·        Minimum 1 year experience in electrical wiring, panel wiring, or related manufacturing experience.

·         Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.

·         Proficient with common electrical hand and power tools.

·         Experience using a digital multimeter.

·         Able to read, write, and communicate in English.

·         Able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform bending, reaching, squatting, and pushing/pulling as required.


Preferred Qualifications

·         Experience in an ISO 9001 manufacturing environment.

·         Knowledge of UL and NEC standards.

·         Experience with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.

·         Field service experience is a plus.


Physical Requirements

·         Lift up to 50 pounds.

·         Stand, bend, squat, reach, and perform repetitive hand movements throughout the workday.

·         Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, gloves, sleeves, hearing protection, and safety shoes.


Work Environment

Manufacturing environment producing low-voltage (600 VAC or less) switchgear and power panels. Safety, quality, teamwork, and productivity are essential expectations.

Salary : $19 - $23
