Responsibilities
- Assist with concrete mixing, pouring, finishing, and curing processes to ensure smooth and durable surfaces.
- Operate power tools and hand tools safely for cutting, shaping, and installing concrete forms and rebar reinforcement.
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and construction plans to accurately execute concrete layouts and formwork.
- Install rebar and other reinforcement materials according to specifications to strengthen concrete structures.
- Construct formwork for slabs, walls, columns, and other structural elements using carpentry skills and form-building techniques.
- Use heavy equipment such as concrete mixers, pumps, and cutting tools to facilitate efficient project progress.
- Follow all safety protocols related to construction workplace safety regulations, heavy lifting, and equipment operation to maintain a safe work environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience working on construction projects with a focus on concrete work or related trades such as masonry or carpentry.
- Mechanical knowledge combined with the ability to operate power tools, heavy equipment, and concrete mixers effectively.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and construction specifications accurately.
- Knowledge of construction estimating principles for planning tasks efficiently.
- Familiarity with concrete forming, finishing techniques, and rebar installation practices.
- Understanding of construction workplace safety regulations and adherence to safety protocols at all times.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
