About the job:
We are currently looking to fill a full time, seasonal photographer assistant position in our North East region (RI, MA, CT, NY, NJ)
Reliable transportation is necessary
- Our Fall 2026 season starts in September and runs strong until mid-December.
- Training dates August 24th - August 26th, with a possibly additional training day for September 1st or 2nd
- On the job training continues September 8th
- On the job training will be provided, and continues throughout the season.
- The weekly schedule is 5 days a week, Monday - Friday
- The job entails assisting with setting up and breaking down a mobile studio set each day and helping with paperwork, cleaning faces and doign all it take sot get childrne of all ages to laugh.
- We typically photograph infants through 6 years of age, as well as class and staff portraits.
- Our travel area is UP to 1 hour and 30 minutes from Providence as needed.
- Mileage reimbursement provided
- The opportunity to stay on after this picture day season and return for our following season based on performance
- Training pay is $17/hour until you are fully trained and can photograph a school solo using the full session plan.
What we are looking for:
- Somebody who is great with kids! Outgoing, energetic, and patient people are needed
- Somebody who thrives in a fast paced, high energy environment with the ability to multitask and a willingness to work hard
- Experience with children is preferred.
- An early bird: the work day typically gets started by 6:30 am to 7:30 am and end the day by 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm
- Personal transportation for daily travel required: you are expected to commute anywhere from 20 minutes up to 1.5 hours
- Somebody who is pleasant and communicative with school staff
Salary: starting rate is $150/day with raise after performance and photography reviews. The rate can increase up to $155/day based on seasonal performance reviews.
