What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant to School Photographer position at East Coast Capture?
East Coast Capture is currently looking to fill a part/full time, seasonal photographer assistant position in our New England region (RI, MA, CT.)
About the job:
- Our Spring 2026 season starts in mid February and goes strong until early June.
- On the job training will be provided, and continues throughout the season.
- The weekly schedule ranges between 4- 5 days a week.
- Weekly mileage reinbursement
Daily Tasks include:
- Loading in and setting up equipment, including light stands, lights, backgrounds and camera equipment. Helping with posing and getting great smiles.
- Cleaning faces and making sure each child is camera ready.
- Posing the children and students
- Working with ages 3 months to 8th grade
- Assisting with paperwork
Requirements:
- Great with kids! Must be able to let go, be silly, and make kids laugh.
- Outgoing, energetic, patient people needed.
- Early mornings: arrive at school by ~6:30/7:00 and end the day by ~ 2:00 pm
- Must be able to move around easily and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Personal transportation for daily travel: general driving range 20 min. to an hour and a half ..

Salary: Starting at $125.00 /day
Training Pay: $17/hour unit fully trained. Typically 1-2 weeks, depending on each individual.
