East Carolina Home Care provides professional, personal home care for children, adults and elderly clients throughout Eastern North Carolina who want to remain in the home environment yet need the special attention our home aides provide.
East Carolina Home Care is now hiring CNA's and PCA's for Gloucester, NC and surrounding areas!
Available Shifts Include:
- Monday, Wednesday, Friday 10-11am start, 4 hour shifts
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides courteous, qualified and safe personal care services, as defined by the North Carolina Department of Facilities, to agency patients in accordance with the prescribed Plan of Care and under the supervision and direction of the agency’s Director of Nursing and its policies and procedures.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
- Provides courteous, qualified and safe personal care services.
- Complies with agency policies and procedures.
- Performs duties in compliance with all state and federal regulations.
- Recording and reporting changes in the client’s condition, family situation or needs to the RN.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
- Nurse Aide Level I or higher certification and a current listing card with the N.C. Division of Facility Services.
- Must provide own means of transportation to patient assignments.
- High School or High School equivalent diploma.
- Physical condition that conforms to state and federal requirements and the requirements of the job.
- A compassionate and concerned attitude regarding the care of the sick and elderly.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Visual/hearing ability sufficient to comprehend written/verbal communications.
- Ability to perform tasks involving physical activity, which may include heavy lifting and extensive bending and standing.
- Ability to effectively deal with stress.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work environment will be in patient homes with varying degrees of sanitary, comfort and functional conditions; visits done alone; travel on a variety of roads into various community or neighborhoods; patients accepted with communicable and/or infectious diseases.
