What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cellar Technician position at East Brother Beer Co?
East Brother Beer Co is an award winning, growing production brewery and taproom, located in Richmond, CA. We brew for ourselves and contract partners. We are looking for an experienced Cellar Technician to join our team. You will be playing a key role in producing high-quality beer with fermentation, filtration, packaging, cleaning and general maintenance tasks.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Operates and maintains fermentation, cellaring, filtration and packaging systems while maintaining high levels of quality in a fast paced Production/Contract Brewery.
2. Maintains detailed records of all brewery operations in Ekos.
3. Assists Team Members as needed in all brewery operations.
4. Assists with inventory control from ingredients, packaging materials and packaged goods.
5. Experienced in filtration including DE and Centrifuge filtered.
6. Experienced in canning operations: Depal, Filler,Seamer Labeler, PackTech Applicator and cartons.
7. Follow all safety protocols and best practices.
8. Maintain a sanitary production environment.
9. Maintain brewery and brewery equipment as well as general facility cleanliness.
10. Forklift Ninja.
11. Maintain a positive attitude and professionalism.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of professional brewing experience,
- Experience with filtration, packaging line and cellar operations.
- Basic computer skills.
- High School diploma.
- Detail orientated
- Flexible schedule with nights and weekends may be required.
- Eligible to work in the United States.
- Ability to comply with safe chemical handling procedures, including personal protection equipment such as gloves and goggles
- Must be able to climb stairs, use a ladder, work at heights above 10 ft., and lift up to 60 lbs. and able to stand for prolonged periods of time.]
- 21 or over.
- Valid California Driver’s License.
- Basic computer skills.
Desired
- 2 years’ experience, but we are willing to train the right applicant.
- Experienced operator of canning and labelling line, including maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Passionate about beer.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
