Do you love spending time with kids? Are you looking to make a lasting impact? East Bay Community Action Program (EBCAP) is seeking energetic part-time Monday through Friday (15 hours a week) Education Assistants to join our dynamic Newport Family Child Opportunity Zone team!

Why You'll Love This Role: Your camp counselor experience is exactly what we're looking for! You'll use those same skills that made camp magical building relationships, creating fun learning experiences, and supporting kids through their daily adventures after-school programs and vacation camps.

What You'll Do

• Bring the camp spirit after school programs, enrichment activities, and school vacation camps for K-8 students
• Be a positive role model using the encouragement and enthusiasm that made you great with campers
• Create welcoming environments by greeting students, families, and helping with daily routines like attendance and snack time
• Lead engaging activities and help prepare materials that spark curiosity and joy in learning
• Use your natural ability to connect with kids and support their social-emotional growth
• Collaborate with amazing colleagues who share your passion for youth development
  
  

Perfect If You Have

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Camp counselor background we value your hands-on experience with children! Camp counselor background we value your hands-on experience with children!
• One year of experience working with school-age children in groups (camp experience counts!)
• Heart for positive behavior support and conflict resolution
• Bonus points for: Associate degree, Teacher Assistant Certification, or bilingual Spanish skills
