Summary: The Operations Sergeant acts as the senior enlisted advisor to the Director of Army Instruction (DAI). Oversees the daily administration of the DAI Office. Maintains and updates the JROTC Standard Operating Procedures. Monitors execution of the JROTC Inspection Program, Program of Instruction, and Curriculum. Plans and conducts instructor training workshops, and ensures that curriculum publications and materials are up-to-date, and on hand. Plans and conducts JROTC competitions, ceremonies, and boards. Responsible for the JROTC awards program. Coordinates the JROTC Cadet Leadership Challenge (Summer Camp).

Essential Functions/Qualifications/Requirements:
Education and Experience:
Must be a retired Army Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO) in the grade of E-8 or E-9. Must be Cadet Command certified as a JROTC Instructor. Marksmanship Instructor certification is preferred, and 2 years experience as a JROTC Instructor is preferred. An associate’s degree with evidence of progress toward a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
