- POSITION SUMMARY
- Studies cells under a microscope to detect evidence of pathological conditions following established standards and practices. Submits slides with abnormal cell structures to pathologist for further examination. Maintains workload requirements following CAP guidelines.
- POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum Education
- B.S. degree in health science or must meet the CAP/CLIA standards for a practicing cytotechnologist
Minimum Experience- 1 year experience in cytotechnology or equivalent
Required Registration/License/Certification- CT (ASCP) Certification
Preferred Education- B.S. in Cytotechnology
Preferred Experience- 1-3 years' experience in cytotechnology
Preferred Registration/License/Certification- CT(ASCP) Certification
