- POSITION SUMMARY
- Provides functional direction to members of the perioperative team to achieve optimal patient outcomes while optimizing available resources to include patient care coordination. Demonstrate effective communication, conflict management, and collaboration skills with members of the perioperative team. Responsible for the delivery of safe, effective, and quality patient/family centered care in the perioperative unit for all patient populations. Provides safe, therapeutic care in a holistic and systematic way. Incorporates differences into the provision of care. Integrates knowledge, skills, and experiences to meet the needs of patients and families throughout the continuum to include patient and family education. Utilizes standards, guidelines, protocols, or pathways for care delivery. Incorporates data and information to continuously improve care and practice to enhance outcomes. Ensures improvements in practice settings by assuming responsibility for self-development.
- POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum Education
- Graduate of school of nursing
Minimum Experience- 1-2 years GYN/Plastics Surgical experience
Required Registration/License/Certification- BLS obtained within 90 days of hire/transfer or prior to taking call.
- Must have valid AL or multistate nursing license
Preferred Education- BSN
Preferred Experience- 5 years' experience in GYN/Plastics operating room with 1-2 years in a leadership role
Preferred Registration/License/Certification- CNOR certification for RNs
