- POSITION SUMMARY
- The EMT III performs pre-hospital care in a holistic systematic way, produces quality patient care with optimal patient outcomes. Utilizes State of Alabama Protocols to deliver quality patient care. Incorporates data and information to improve patient care. Performs a comprehensive patient assessment by interpreting multiple, at times conflicting data, and proceeding to give patient care based on findings. Documents patient care activities and relays pertinent patient information to those who have a need to know.
- POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum Education
- high school diploma or GED
- Alabama EMT III License,
Minimum Experience- N/A
Required Registration/License/Certification- EVOC within 12 months
- BLS within 90 days
- ACLS within 12 months
- PALS within 12 months
- National Registry upon hire unless grandfathered in before registry was mandatory
Preferred Education- Associates Degree
Preferred Experience- N/A
Preferred Registration/License/Certification- Critical Care Paramedic Certification
