- POSITION SUMMARY
- The pharmacy technician performs a variety of duties related to the preparing and dispensing of medications according to standard procedure under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist to provide quality patient care. Maintain inventory by verifying receipt, restocking and removing outdated medications. Provide excellent customer service to physicians, nurses and other hospital staff members. Displays commitment to the pharmacy department by working collaboratively with team members.
- POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum Experience
- 1 year of pharmacy experience in a hospital inpatient or outpatient setting or 4 years of retail pharmacy experience.
- Required Registration/License/Certification
- Alabama State Board of Pharmacy Technician Registration
- Nationally Certified Pharmacy Technician certificate (CPhT) or graduate from an accredited pharmacy technician training program with CPhT status.
- Must maintain certification.

- 2 years of hospital inpatient/outpatient experience
