Tile Setter Job Summary
We are seeking experienced Tile Setters to join our team. As a Tile Setter, you will be responsible for installing tile in residential construction projects, including custom homes and remodels. You will also assist with surface preparation, layout, and finishing work to ensure high-quality results.
Tile Setter Duties and Responsibilities
- Install ceramic, porcelain, stone, and other tile materials on floors, walls, and other surfaces
- Prepare surfaces by measuring, leveling, waterproofing, and applying underlayment as needed
- Plan and lay out tile patterns to ensure proper alignment and appearance
- Cut tile using hand tools or power tools to fit around corners, fixtures, and obstacles
- Apply grout, sealants, and finishes to completed installations
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Clean and maintain tools and equipment at the end of each shift
Tile Setter Requirements and Qualifications
- Previous tile setting experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Ability to work on knees, lift materials, and perform physically demanding tasks
