It anonymizes individuals in the video feed using image pre-processing, then streams footage to a cloud-based large language model (LLM) for intelligent analysis. At its core, a dedicated data and integration layer connects factory and enterprise systems, providing consistent data for monitoring and insights.Users define use cases via natural language prompts and can provide reference materials (documents, videos, or images) to help the system detect process deviations. The result: improved compliance, efficiency, and visibility on the plant floor.Position SummaryEase is seeking a backend Senior Software Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll own key parts of the data and integration layer for our Process Intelligence product—designing services and APIs that bring data from factory and enterprise systems into our AI and analytics workflows.This role bridges on-prem and cloud services, streamlines data flows across environments, and helps keep Process Intelligence reliable, scalable, and future-ready.Position Location: HybridAnnual Salary Range: $150,000-$190,000What You'll Do:Build backend data services. Design and implement services that ingest and aggregate data from factory and enterprise systems.Design integration APIs. Develop and maintain REST and GraphQL APIs for Process Intelligence applications and internal services.Optimize data flows and storage. Model and tune data pipelines and persistence across our cloud stack for reliability and performance.Strengthen robustness. Improve security, authentication, and observability for backend services.Collaborate across teams. Work with product and front-end engineers to deliver reliable end-to-end flows.Continuously improve. Refine processes, developer tools, and engineering practices.Required Qualifications & Skills:5 years building and maintaining backend services or data-intensive web applications in production.Strong experience with modern backend frameworks (e.g., ASP.NET Core/C# or Python).Strong experience designing and consuming REST APIs (GraphQL a plus).Solid understanding of data modeling and storage using relational or NoSQL databases.Experience building and running services in a modern cloud (e.g., GCP or AWS).Effective communicator with a strong collaboration and ownership mindset.B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with message-based or streaming systems (e.g., Kafka or Google Pub/Sub).Experience integrating data from multiple external systems or enterprise APIs.Familiarity with observability practices for distributed services (e.g., metrics and tracing).Exposure to integrating AI/LLM APIs or analytics platforms.What We OfferAt Ease, we foster a culture built on respect, humility, and collaboration.
