Safety Compliance Officer
Major Requirements and Job Duties
- In conjunction with input from the installation crew supervisors, have the writing skills necessary to create clear and concise project specific safety plans
- Have the skills and experience necessary to analyze hazards and write project specific job hazard (JHA) plans
- Assist installation crews in creating daily task specific pre-task safety plans (PTPs)
- Perform daily work area observations for compliance to both the facility and the company safety requirements and work rules
- Perform daily work area inspections for compliance with all administrative documentation and work permit requirements
- Assist in the facility work permitting process
- Prepare for submission safety reports as required by the facility
- Manage the facility security access badging program
Other Skills and Job Requirements
- Bilingual preferred
- At a minimum must have an associate degree in safety
- At a minimum must have two years of job experience relevant to safety compliance in an operational semiconductor facility or similar type of production facility
- OSHA 500 Certification
- Knowledge of the OSHA Construction Standards CFR 1926 and the General Industry Standards CFR 1910
- Knowledge and experience with the safety requirements associated with the installation of electrical or mechanical systems
- Computer skills using MS Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint) and Procore
- Perform safety inspections in restricted areas (switchgear rooms, mechanical rooms, utility tunnels, crawl spaces, gas & chemical areas and above ceiling plenum areas)
- Perform safety inspections in the clean room areas of a semiconductor facility wearing clean room gowning
- Able to work a minimum of 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week and routine overtime
- Frequently carries, lifts or transports tools, instruments, and/or objects weighing 20 pounds or more
- Typically bends, stoops and crouches on a regular basis
- Works in all weather conditions, regardless of job location
Other requirements
- Must pass a background check and drug screening
- Must be an insured driver with a valid Driver's License and vehicle for occasional travel to field offices with mileage reimbursement
