Position Overview:
The Project Manager oversees the planning, execution, and completion of landscape construction projects from contract award to final closeout. This role ensures that all projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to company quality standards while maintaining strong client relationships and team coordination across field and office operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseesall planning, scheduling, and resource coordination for assignedprojects, ensuring each project is properly sequenced, staffed, and equippedto meet key milestones and contractual obligations.
- Adjustsplans proactivelyto accommodate weather, design changes, or unforeseen conditions whilemaintainingproductivity and cost control.
- Manages the financial performance of each project, including budgeting,forecasting, and job-cost reporting.
- Reviews contract terms, negotiates andtracks change orders, and ensuresaccuratebilling and cost-to-completereporting.
- Coordinate with purchasing and subcontractors to ensuretimelydelivery of materialsand services.
- Review and approve daily field reports, timecards, and equipment logs in Aspire.
- Manage subcontractor performance, schedule coordination, and change orders.
- Conduct weeklyjobsitevisits tomonitorprogress, safety, and quality.
- Protects company interests by monitoring scope, expenses, andprofitability throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provides day-to-day leadership and direction for superintendents,foremen,and subcontractors.
- Establishes expectations for safety, quality, andefficiency, ensuring consistent communication between field and office.
- Builds team accountability through clear goals, proactive coordination, andcontinuous improvement in operational performance.
- Serves as the primary liaison between the company, client, and generalcontractor.Maintains transparent, professional communicationregardingprogress, issues, and expectations.
- Leads project meetings, provides regularupdates, and resolves challenges promptly tomaintaintrust and ensure clientsatisfaction.
- Ensures that all construction activities meet company standards for quality,safety, andcompliance.
- Implements and enforces OSHA and company safetypolicies, conducts regular jobsite inspections, and manages punch lists andfinal closeouts.
- Upholds the company’s reputation for craftsmanship,reliability, and safety excellence.
- Support recruiting and development of field personnel through feedback andmentorship.
- Participate in post-job reviews to identify lessons learned and process improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Landscape Architecture, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing landscape or site construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of hardscape, irrigation, planting, and grading practices.
- Proficient in Aspire, MS Project, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with a focus on team collaboration.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to project sites.
Salary : $65,000 - $75,000
