We're looking for an experienced Fleet Mechanic who enjoys solving problems, working independently, and keeping a wide variety of equipment operating safely and efficiently. If you like working on everything from diesel trucks to commercial mowers and trailers, this is a position where your skills truly make an impact every day.
What You'll Do:
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on trucks, trailers, commercial mowers, and small-engine equipment
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and engine issues
- Respond to occasional field repairs when equipment breaks down
- Maintain repair records and preventative maintenance schedules
- Manage equipment inventory and maintenance history using Asset Tiger
- Track inspections, registrations, warranties, and service intervals
- Perform minor shop and facility maintenance as needed
- Help keep the shop organized, clean, and operating efficiently
- Train crew leaders on proper equipment inspections and routine maintenance
We're Looking For Someone Who Has:
- 5 years of mechanic experience
- Experience working on gas, diesel, trailers, and commercial landscaping equipment
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities
- A valid Virginia driver's license with a clean driving record
- ASE Certification (preferred)
- Virginia State Inspection Certification (a huge plus)
- Ability to lift 75 lbs and work both indoors and outdoors
- Strong organization and attention to detail
