POSITION OVERVIEW
EarthScapes Lawn and Land Service, Inc. is seeking an entrepreneurial Landscape Account Manager to own and grow our portfolio of business in Hampton Roads. This is not a traditional account manager role—you will operate as a "mini business owner" with complete responsibility for the Hampton Roads Southside geographic territory (Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Chesapeake, Suffolk).
You will combine strategic relationship management with hands-on field operations, directly supervising maintenance crews while building deep client relationships. This dual-hat role offers significant responsibility and the opportunity to shape a territory as EarthScapes scales as the premier landscaping service provider in the region.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIESFIELD OPERATIONS & CREW LEADERSHIP
- Lead daily crew huddles—set priorities, review safety, inspect equipment, coach for quality
- Conduct weekly site visits to monitor service quality and address deficiencies in real-time
- Design and optimize crew routes to maximize efficiency while maintaining quality standards
- Make on-the-spot crew adjustments when quality issues arise—you have full authority to redirect resources
- Respond to equipment breakdowns, weather delays, and operational incidents as first point of contact
- Track crew productivity metrics and conduct weekly performance coaching sessions
- Ensure service completion rate and maintain quality service delivery
CLIENT RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT
- Conduct site audits on your accounts to assess condition and cultivate rapport with your clients
- Proactively identify enhancement opportunities during site visits (irrigation upgrades, landscape renovations, seasonal services)
- Execute renewal strategy 60-90 days before contract expiration—personal meetings, pricing proposals, relationship leverage
- Respond personally to client concerns, resolve issues, and conduct follow-up to ensure satisfaction
- Monitor account-level profitability monthly—identify margin erosion, adjust service delivery, take corrective action
SYSTEMS & PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT
- Oversee your accounts through CRM systems
- Monitor automated renewal workflows—intervene personally when accounts don't respond to outreach
- Conduct exit interviews with canceling customers to identify service gaps or systemic issues
- Handle billing disputes and escalated complaints
- Analyze trends in to inform quality improvements and competitive positioning
TERRITORY GROWTH & COORDINATION
- Partner with Sales team on lead generation and territory-specific marketing campaigns
- Coordination with other divisions (agronomics, installations, enhancements, etc.) for service delivery
- Dedicate time per week to market development—networking, community presence, referral cultivation
- Manage all territory data in our CRM system—service notes, client preferences, enhancement opportunities, profitability tracking
- Prepare and present monthly KPI dashboard to Operations Manager showing retention, profitability, productivity, and growth metrics
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3-5 years of experience in the landscape or related outdoor services industry
- Minimum 2 years in a supervisory or crew leadership role—proven ability to manage people and operations
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills—comfortable talking to homeowners, solving problems, building trust
- Proficiency with technology and data—CRM systems, route planning software, basic Excel/reporting
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Physical ability to conduct site inspections (walking properties, identifying issues, taking photos)
- Entrepreneurial mindset—you treat this territory as your own business within EarthScapes
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with Aspire CRM or similar landscape management software
- Account management, sales, or business development experience in the landscaping industry
- Horticulture knowledge or landscape design familiarity
- Prior P&L ownership or territory management experience
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Base Salary: $55,000 - $70,000 (based on experience and qualifications)
Performance Bonus: Paid quarterly based on KPI achievement
