Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Mechanical Engineer role based in Dacono, CO. The Mechanical Engineer will work closely with engineering and production teams to develop, design and document product and processes. The main goal of this position is to develop effective component, assembly, and system designs for implementation into an overlanding expedition vehicle. In doing so, this position will increase overall quality standards and improve overall production efficiency. Ideal applicants will have both an engineering and technical background including a minimum of 3 years hands-on experience working for an automotive firm or direct supplier. This position will be responsible for a combination of chassis, fluids or composites systems.
Qualifications
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience working for an automotive firm or direct supplier.
• Ability to be flexible as production demands change.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Understanding of GD&T.
• Ability to learn quickly.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Understanding of lean manufacturing principles.
• Strive for continuous improvement regarding processes, procedures, and quality.
• Ability to manage time wisely.
• Must pay attention to detail.
• Current driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Must be applicant willing to work in office and manufacturing environment.
• Experience with complete system design in an electro-mechanical environment is preferred.
• Creative resolution of difficult design challenges is preferred.
• Experience with large CAD assemblies is preferred.
