Role Description The Pest Control Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Ostrander, OH, responsible for inspecting and treating residential and commercial properties for signs of pests and conditions that may contribute to infestations. The role involves identifying pest species, determining appropriate treatment plans, and applying products and methods in accordance with safety regulations and company standards. The technician will perform routine preventative services, follow integrated pest management practices, and maintain accurate service records and documentation. Daily tasks also include communicating clearly with customers about findings, treatment options, and follow-up recommendations, while providing professional, courteous service. The technician is expected to operate company vehicles safely, manage equipment and supplies, and adhere to all environmental, health, and safety guidelines.
Qualifications
- Strong Pest Control and Integrated Pest Management (IPM) skills, including assessment, treatment planning, and implementation.
- Ability to use PEST and related tools or systems for scheduling, documentation, and reporting.
- Effective Communication skills for interacting with customers, teammates, and supervisors.
- Knowledge of Lawn Care practices that support pest prevention and property health.
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications or licenses in pest control are preferred or willingness to obtain.
- Capability to work in varying outdoor and indoor conditions, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and adherence to safe driving practices.
- Attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to following safety and environmental guidelines.
