Job Description
We are seeking a detail oriented and analytical Purchasing Coordinator to join our growing team to support day-to-day procurement operations. This role partners closely with internal teams and external vendors to ensure materials and services are sourced efficiently, cost-effectively, and delivered on time. The ideal candidate is comfortable balancing hands-on purchasing responsibilities, reporting and vendor negotiations in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Engage with Inventory on parts requirements for stock purchasing.
- Review and process material requisitions
- Evaluate supply chain availability and pricing to determine the optimal approach.
- Once authorized, create purchase orders and distribute to vendors
- Communicate via phone & email with the vendors and internal customers
- Administer subcontractor processes and put work out to bid
- Negotiate contract rates for external services and purchasing of materials
- Contract all 3rd party technicians and equipment for installations and services.
- Control delivery of various items required for construction site installation processes
- Negotiate national deals for products and services we purchase
- Create and manage purchase orders and documents related to 3rd party service vendors
- Coordinate the process of purchase order receipt, invoice application for both MYISIS and SAGE PO
- Assist with ad hoc assignments as assigned by supervisor
Who YOU are
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance on site
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain
- Experience with electronics, electrical components, or consumer products preferred
- Vendor sourcing, pricing negotiation, and purchase order management experience
- MISYS and/or SAGE experience preferred
- Proficiency with Excel and data tracking tools
Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, supply chain, or related field is a plus
