Job Description: Landscape Maintenance Technician

Scope of Work

The landscape maintenance technician position is an integral part of EarthX, and ultimately the satisfaction of the customers we serve. EarthX is committed to providing clean, well-manicured lawns and landscapes as a by-product of our committed effort to excellence. This position shall be held accountable for his/her crew members, and their assigned maintenance properties. The maintenance landscape technician is an entry level leadership position. The maintenance technician works alongside his/her crew. This position reports directly to the Supervisor and/or Division Manager. Assigned tasks include general maintenance related activities such as: mowing, weed whacking, blowing, trimming, trash pick-up, pulling weeds, and other duties as assigned. The landscape maintenance technician will also show basic proficiency in advanced equipment operation, irrigation, trailer operation, and equipment service. Proficiency levels defined below. Strong customer service skills are a must.

Duties and Responsibilities

* Good attitude - Show up daily ready to work and learn.

* Attendance - Be on time.

* Listen – Follow instructions, ask questions.

* Properly clock in/out of jobs.

* Assist in loading/unloading work vehicles

* Have a strong work ethic, and show and eagerness to learn/improve

* Maintain personal safety with issued PPE. Keep others safe.

Safe/Effective Operations

· Must have a strong understanding of maintenance related equipment

· Possess a basic understanding of irrigation – troubleshoot/repair as needed

· Must be able to safely load, drive, back, and maintain a large trailer

Equipment Availability/Readiness

· Ensure readiness/reliability of equipment daily

· Ensure availability of proper tools/equipment for self and crews

Strategic Planning

· Partake in the planning/logistical process with Supervisor and/or Division Manager

· Provide insight/feedback for maintenance schedules

· Communicate equipment/personnel/misc. needs to Supervisor and/or Division Manager

Personal Qualities

EarthX maintenance division is responsible for the weekly landscape maintenance on an array of various properties. How those properties present themselves, is the ultimate reflection of EarthX and our quality of work. Our clients expect well-maintained, clean, weed/trash free properties. It is the responsibility of the landscape maintenance technician to ensure each property is looking it’s best. This position requires someone to be passionate about aesthetics, quality work, and efficiency. Must be in good physical condition, and able to work in strenuous conditions every day. Effective communication with clients and maintenance operations staff is imperative.

Experience

EarthX is a broad-spectrum company, providing an array of various services to our invaluable customers. The landscape maintenance technician shall have a strong background in property maintenance.

Requirements

· Must be able to pass a Federal Background check

· Must be able to operate small equipment 2 years experience (skid and mini excavator)

· Must be hard working, and show an eagerness to learn and improve

· Must have reliable transportation to and from job sites

· Must be 18 years or older

· Must have valid INSURABLE driver’s license

· Must have smart phone to utilize email and other communication APPS

Job Type: Full-time
