Senior Environmental Construction Manager

Remote | Texas-Based Preferred | 75% Travel | Full-Time
Earth Systems is seeking a Senior Environmental Construction Manager to lead complex environmental remediation and environmental construction projects across Texas and surrounding regions.
This is a senior field leadership role responsible for managing multiple crews, overseeing active remediation and construction projects, coordinating subcontractors, and driving project execution from the field. The ideal candidate brings strong environmental construction experience, operational leadership, and the ability to manage complex project scopes in fast-paced field environments.
Travel: Approximately 75% travel to active project sites with occasional travel to the Midland or Austin office as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Environmental Construction Execution
- Lead field execution of complex environmental remediation and civil construction projects including installation of runoff swales, access roads, culverts, and erosion remediation
- Manage excavations, soil management, containment systems, remediation system installations, and site restoration activities
- Develop Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Quotes (RFQs), and/or Requests for Information (RFIs) per company and client requirements
- Execute remedial action plans in accordance with engineering design and project specifications
Field Leadership & Oversight
- Manage and oversee multiple field crews, subcontractors, and remediation teams across active sites
- Coordinate equipment, materials, and workforce planning to support project demands
- Monitor project schedules, field productivity, budgets, and work quality across multiple scopes
- Identify field challenges and implement operational solutions to maintain project progress
- Partner closely with Engineers, Project Managers, clients, and Operations leadership
Environmental Compliance
- Ensure all remediation activities align with regulatory requirements, permits, and environmental standards
- Oversee environmental monitoring, soil management, and waste handling activities
- Maintain accurate field documentation and support project reporting requirements
Safety
- Lead project-level safety efforts including safety meetings, JSAs, and hazard assessments
- Enforce OSHA safety standards and HAZWOPER requirements across all field operations
- Promote and maintain a strong safety culture across crews and project sites
What We’re Looking For
- 7–10 years of environmental remediation, environmental construction, or environmental consulting field operations experience
- Strong background managing crews, subcontractors, and active field operations
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, remediation plans, and technical specifications
- Strong leadership, coordination, and field decision-making abilities
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Ability to travel extensively and work in demanding field environments
Preferred Certifications & Experience
- OSHA 30 Certification
- 40-Hour HAZWOPER
- Experience with groundwater remediation systems including SVE, air sparging, and treatment systems
- Environmental consulting or remediation services background is necessary.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
This role includes both field work and administrative responsibilities. Work is performed on active remediation and construction sites, including industrial facilities and brownfield redevelopment projects.

- Climbing slopes, ladders, and equipment
- Standing for extended periods; bending, kneeling, crouching, and reaching

Salary : $95,000 - $120,000
