Work Environment
This is a FULL-TIME outdoor position. Work is performed year-round in Florida’s climate—expect sun, rain, heat, humidity, insects, standing water, and wildlife. Field crews operate throughout the state, often in remote or rural areas. This position involves working year-round in Florida’s natural environments—ponds, canals, wetlands, and open land. The work includes land clearing, aquatic vegetation control, and general field operations to support environmental management projects across the state. This position is ideal for individuals who are dependable, safety-minded, and comfortable working outdoors in all elements. Responsibilities
Assist with land clearing, mowing, and vegetation management on large Florida properties.
Perform aquatic vegetation control in ponds, canals, and wetland systems.
Conduct native planting and seeding activities as directed by project leads.
Operate and maintain hand tools and light equipment safely and efficiently.
Work daily in Florida’s outdoor conditions — heat, humidity, rain, mud, and uneven terrain.
Navigate and work within wetlands, hammocks, and natural landscapes.
Follow all company safety procedures, environmental regulations, and field protocols.
Load and unload materials, transport supplies, and assist with vehicle/equipment maintenance.
Complete basic field documentation (logs, forms, photos, and notes).
Requirements
Must be 21 years of age or older (insurance requirement).
High school diploma or GED required.
Valid Florida Driver’s License with clean 5-year MVR record.
Must be able to pass a background check, drug and alcohol screening, and baseline physical.
Must be able to and authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, walking or standing for extended periods, and working in hot, humid, and wet conditions.
Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Reliable, motivated, and able to work as part of a team in challenging outdoor environments.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in environmental field work, landscaping, or land management.
Familiarity with Florida ecosystems, including native and invasive vegetation.
Florida Pesticide or Applicator License (or willingness to obtain — pay increase available).
Desire for long-term growth and advancement in environmental field operations.
