What are the responsibilities and job description for the Landscape Installer position at Earth Steward Ecology?
Earth Steward Ecology is an ecological landscape design-build company specialized in implementing CA native plant habitat, homestead development, rainwater catchment and grey water recycling in a beautiful way. We are seeking hard working and mindful technicians that want to build these projects with us in a team environment.
This is a physical labor position. We do many trades including planting, plumbing, masonry, carpentry and more. The job generally requires crew to meet onsite at job locations and travel allowance is issued depending on distance from our yard. A good candidate should have:
- readiness to be outside on their feet all day
- ability to work well in a team environment
- interest in learning new skills and openness to be shown how to do them
- experience in some of the above mentioned trades (not required)
- communication skills
- reliable transportation
Desired but not necessary skills:
- horticultural training / experience (fine pruning, arborist work)
- experience driving large vehicles or heavy equipment
- project management or supervisory experience
Pay is negotiable based on experience. Those with higher experience and project management interest / ability are needed and encouraged to reach out. Workers are paid additional travel stipends based on project location distance from our main yard.
