We bring the freshest seafood from the Boston Seaport to our wholesale customers across Vermont, New Hampshire, and New York State. Job Description: As a Wholesale Team Member and Fish Scaler, you will participate in the day-to-day operations of our wholesale department. Primarily, you will be gutting and scaling whole fish that get sent to our wholesale customers. This is a hands-on, physical job in a fast-paced environment. No previous seafood or scaling experience required. We will teach you!
Schedule:
- Monday: 9am-5pm
- Tuesday: 1am-9am (Night Shift)
- Wednesday: 9am-5pm
- Thursday: 9am-5pm
- Friday: 1am-9am (Night Shift)
Key Responsibilities:
- Scale and gut whole fish
- Assist in preparing and packaging wholesale orders
- Process seafood like shucking oysters, cooking lobsters, and cutting fish
- Drive box trucks when needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas
- Support general projects and facility upkeep
- Work collaboratively with the team to ensure orders are accurate and of high quality
Requirements:
- No previous seafood or scaling experience required. We will teach you!
- Reliability and teamwork are essential
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs regularly
- Comfortable working in a cold, fast-paced environment
Compensation & Benefits:
- Starting pay: $23-25/hour
- Expected hours: 32-40 hours per week
