About the HR Manager position:
The HR Manager serves as the sole US-based HR employee for Harris Exploration, a division of Earth Drilling. The incumbent will complete a wide range of tasks, which will be strategic, operational, and administrative in nature. The HR Manager will oversee the following: new hire onboarding, employee relations, internal communications, managing the Company’s PEO relationship, recruiting, as well as developing and implementing HR programs and policies. We are seeking a hands-on, flexible, hardworking, and results-oriented individual who is cable of working independently.
Job Responsibilities:
- Serve as the sole HR representative for a US-based drilling company located in Nevada, operating projects across the United States.
- Execute a wide range of tasks, processes, initiatives, and projects, including:
- Serving as the first contact point for HR inquiries and issues
- Leading the new hire onboarding process
- Supporting employee offboarding
- Supporting employee relations
- Internal communications
- Managing the Company’s PEO relationship
- Leading the recruiting process
- Developing and implementing HR programs and policies
- Performance management
- Supporting training and development
- Help develop and maintain a positive, collaborative workplace culture.
- Support HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy and culture.
- Business Partnership: Support and guide functional leaders to focus on people initiatives to drive their business results and success measures.
- Support organizational communication programs.
- Help develop and implement recruitment and retention strategies for both hourly and salaried employees, that aligns with company culture and values.
- Analyze HR data and metrics to identify trends such as retention, turnover, and engagement to address issues and drive continuous improvement.
- Support managers and supervisors on performance management issues and processes.
- Ensure Federal and State legal compliance accountability throughout all levels of the organization.
- Other duties as required.
Job Requirements:
- Post secondary education in a relevant field is required.
- An HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) is preferred.
- 5 years of HR experience in a generalist role is required.
- HR experience in a relevant setting, such as drilling, manufacturing, transportation, oil and gas, is required.
- Proven track-record with high-volume recruiting is required.
- Proven track-record developing HR systems, processes, and functions is required.
- Experience working with a PEO is strongly preferred.
- Exceptionally strong organizational skills.
- A strategic thinker who is also comfortable being very hands-on.
- Ability to problem solve and facilitate solutions with limited direction.
- Strong computer skills, including the ability to learn new programs and systems, is required.
- Reliable transportation is required.
