Ears and Hearing, PA is looking for part-time infant hearing screeners.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic Newborn Hearing Technician to work on a PART-TIME basis. In this position, you will work on-site performing state-mandated hearing screens on newborns. Positions are based in a busy Newborn Nursery and/or NICU hospital setting. This position will enable the right person to work a morning shift , beginning 8:00 AM , and ends when all babies are tested for the day. Our program operates 7 days a week 365 days a year. Schedules will be determined a month in advance and will include weekends and holidays. The schedule is shared between two screeners.

The Newborn Hearing Technician performs hearing screens, provides education to parents about the relevance of hearing screening and early intervention and records patient information and hearing screen results.
This position is a morning part-time position but can work to supplement income with other part-time jobs.
Candidates MUST have all vaccinations done or be willing to get them done including the COVID vaccine. You need to have proof of these vaccines. Some vaccinations will be reimbursed by the company after being on board for 90 days including a required fittest.

Qualifications:
Education level: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
Experience Industry: Prior experience with newborns and in a medical setting preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Clear seven (7) year background check
- The ability to have interpersonal communication with the public.
- Maintains a professional demeanor and appearance.
- Ability to effectively prioritize daily tasks and assignments.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Able to perform accurate data entry.
- Demonstrate sensitivity when handling infants.
- Able to work on weekends and national holidays.
- Able to work mornings to mid-day- Normal start time 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM
- Vaccinations as required by hospitals, including Flu Vaccine
- Must be able to pass a Drug Screen.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on program needs, including weekdays, weekends, and holiday shifts, if needed
- Interact and develop relationships with hospital personnel to ensure effective levels of communication are maintained
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, and push the screening equipment. Perform light physical lifting (up to 25 pounds) on an intermittent basis. Have the ability to stand and walk frequently (95% of shift).
