Early Childhood Care Coordination Team Lead
The Early Learning Coalition of Northwest Florida is looking for a candidate that has a can-do-attitude, is tenacious, energetic, hardworking, innovative, resourceful, and creative to join its Education Services Team.
Essential Duties and Qualifications:
Provide direct support to childcare providers, their staff, and the public-at-large to carry out the Coalition’s initiatives through conferences, meetings and community events as requested
- Assist with identification and linkage for children in center-based, home-based, and community-based settings who would benefit from infant and early childhood mental health support.
- Complete and ensure completion of documentation requirements, including but not limited to clinical notes, assessments, intakes, and records requests within required timeframes.
- Assist in providing internal and external training.
- Promote classroom management and teacher practices using classroom observations, reflection, and consultations to address teacher and individual child needs and create physical and cultural environments that encourage mental health, positive social interactions, and emotional functioning. - Conduct observations and consultations in centers, in office community, in home, and in virtual visiting settings to meet the client’s mental health and social-emotional needs.
- Oversee team of EC3 Program Specialists and provide regular guidance that includes discussion and feedback about referrals, case management, documentation, timeliness, deadlines, professionalism, and other performance expectations.
- Manage referral process including tracking and reporting for grant and community funders.
- Support and ensure that the quality of work meets clinical, program, organizational, productivity, confidentiality, mandated reporting and HIPPA standards.
- Attend supervision, training, and other meetings as required for the program with outside entities as required by the program.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s in counseling, social work, psychology, related behavioral science field, or working toward a Bachelor’s in a related field.
- Experience leading staff, including giving constructive feedback, managing performance, and completing performance appraisals.
- At least two years of direct clinical service providing mental health assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to children ages 0-5 and families is preferred.
- At least 2 years of clinical supervisory or program management experience using a reflective practice approach is preferred.
